Third Molar Surgery Course
This three day course allows clinicians to learn the basics in impacted third molar surgery. Course consists of a full day lecture and practice on surgical models, followed by hands on practice on pig jaws as the introduction to third molar surgery. The clinician is then allowed to shadow a full day of surgery performed by Dr. Mobini. In the last day of training the clinician takes part in third molar surgery on live patient while being supervised by Dr. Mobini.
Course Objectives:
Prepare the clinician for proper case selection
Learn the surgical anatomy for maxillary and mandibular third molars
Identify radiographic findings of close proximity to IAN canal
Learn when to order a CBCT
Learn when to do the case and when to refer it out
Learn basic skills required for proper third molar surgery
