This is the story of TOFS
Having been raised in Toronto, Ontario, our passion has always been to serve our own community. Our journey of opening this clinic started in April 2015. On this day, Dr. Mobini proposed to Dr. Honey Ghods at the Zee Grill restaurant (located on Mount Pleasant Road right across from the current clinic). We had our first date at the same restaurant. Having had our first date and our proposal there, over the course of following years we ended up spending many joyous occasions there.
Then we saw a FOR SALE sign
One night after exiting the restaurant, we noticed a FOR SALE sign on the unit across the street. On first impression the space looked too small for an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery clinic. But upon inspection of the unit, we realized that we had found the perfect space in midtown Toronto for our clinic. Soon we placed our offer and realized that we are that much closer to realizing our dream of opening our Oral & Facial Surgery clinic in Toronto.
So begins the construction …
After securing the location, we needed to transition the unit from a coffee shop to a medical facility. The work was challenging but fortunately with a long standing experience in residential and commercial development, Dr. Ghods stepped up to the plate and delivered in a big way. The project was filled with lots of ups and downs, but the long hours of hard work put in by all members of the family appeared to be pushing the project into fruition very very soon.
Almost there …
Every job has its challenges and development of a medical facility in midtown Toronto amidst a pandemic was no different. Aside from Dr. Ghods’ hardwork and leadership the constant force behind pushing this project to the finish line was our hunger and desire for realizing our dream of opening our doors to our patients in our community as soon as possible. There were so many amazing people who helped us get there and we are forever grateful to them all.
